New Chemical Safety eLearning Module Launched
The ‘Safe use of Cleaning Chemicals’ programme was designed and developed in partnership with online learning specialists, Aurion Learning and Scottish detergents manufacturer, RP Adam.
The new eLearning safety training module has been developed to ensure that key chemical safety messages are communicated and remembered and that participants using the organisations cleaning products and detergents do so as safely and as effectively as possible.
The short interactive eLearning programme is intended to complement existing classroom training as an additional resource and is made available to all cleaning staff within RP Adam customer organisations.
Lee-Anne Gille, UK Operations Director at RP Adam said:
“A lot of customers have found it difficult to get the appropriate members of staff together as a group for traditional COSHH training. We also have found that many members of staff find this face-to-face training a bit boring, and let’s face it, it’s not the most exciting topic in the world, but nonetheless, a critical aspect of customer safety.”
She added:
“This new eLearning course is far more flexible than trying to organise group training sessions, is far more informative and with its use of excellent imagery and a professional voice-over, it also provides an interactive element for users to gauge knowledge retention.”
‘Safe use of Cleaning Chemicals’ module is deployed via the RP Adam website and can also be made available to RP Adam’s larger corporate customers for hosting on their own learning management system.
Sales and Marketing Director at RP Adam, Max Adam added:
“This 30 minute course has been developed in partnership with one of the UK’s leading online learning and development companies and I have been highly impressed with their professional approach, account management, attention and technical production skills in helping to deliver this quite complex project, on time, in full and within budget.”
We wanted to improve the quality of our safety training, standardise key messages and drastically cut delivery costs and we feel this course has achieved these objectives. Customer pilot feedback was really positive, so now it’s show time!
Gavin Woods, Client Services Director at Aurion Learning commented:
“We are really pleased that RP Adam’s first online learning programme has been such a success. I hope that this form of training will provide a model for similar topics and provide better access to staff training and professional development opportunities.”
