Award-winning digital learning solutions provider Aurion Learning has successfully delivered a major eLearning project for the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
The intuitive online learning portal was developed to effectively address the diverse food safety training needs of inspectors and food business owners operating across Ireland. Serving as a centralised training hub, it provides a streamlined solution to enhance the expertise and knowledge of food safety for both inspectors and business owners.
In collaboration with the FSAI project delivery team and key project stakeholders, Aurion Learning integrated the new portal with FSAI’s existing learning management system (LMS), which Aurion Learning also helped to update and configure.
The enhanced learning solution boasts user-friendly front-end navigation, robust content management tools, standalone tracking and reporting functionalities, and the capacity for FSAI to provide personalised, self-paced, and accessible food safety learning experiences at scale.
An essential aspect of the project focused on guaranteeing accessibility for the eLearning content featured on the learning portal. Leveraging their 'Aurion High5' accessible design framework, Aurion Learning tailored the content to adhere to FSAI's requirements.
Food businesses and inspectors now have access to a world-class web-style learning experience, available anytime and across any device with direct access to personalised learner journeys with relevant courses, learning pathways and role-based content recommendations available directly from the integrated LMS.
Commenting on the successful delivery of the project, Ruth Conefrey, Project Lead at the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said:
“Our new FSAI Learning Portal allows us to extend the variety and type of learning resources to meet the needs of food businesses and inspectors on food law and food safety. Working with Aurion, we have developed a flexible and intuitive learning portal, that will allow flexibility in our approach to training in the coming years.”
Natalie Geddis, Client Services Manager at Aurion Learning said:
“The implementation of the Aurion High5 design framework has provided FSAI with a universally accessible HTML5 experience that aligns perfectly with their mission to uphold top-tier food safety standards. This approach not only enhances the food safety knowledge of businesses and inspectors, but also equips FSAI with the scalability to adapt training as needs evolve in the future."
She added:
“Through Aurion Learning's customisable learning portal, FSAI's key stakeholders now benefit from tailored, engaging learning experiences, promising to further strengthen their collaboration in addressing learning challenges and fostering continuous improvement.”
