NICSHR L&D, the primary provider of learning and development services to Northern Ireland Government Departments and their Agencies, sought a trusted digital learning partner to enhance their L&D offering. Following a competitive procurement process, Aurion Learning was appointed as the primary eLearning provider under the NICSHR Learning & Development Framework. Since 2020, we have collaborated closely with NICSHR L&D to design and deliver a suite of high-quality digital learning solutions that drive engagement, improve access for learners and ensure value for money.

About NICSHR L&D

Established in 2006, NICSHR L&D delivers a wide range of blended learning and development services across the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) and the wider public sector, equipping staff with the skills and knowledge required to deliver effective public services.

The Solution

Aurion Learning was appointed as the primary eLearning provider to NICS under its Learning & Development Framework. Through our structured framework management methodology, we have delivered a range of tailored digital learning interventions, including:

• Consultancy services to define and document NICSHR L&D’s digital learning design standards.
• A suite of NICS-branded eLearning templates to ensure a consistent and a visually appealing design approach.
• Custom eLearning modules on key topics including Racial Equality, Domestic Abuse, and Fraud Awareness.
• Animated explainer videos on subjects including New Ways of Working and Welfare Support.
• Video-based training materials covering areas such as focused support following a return to work and during an absence.
• Provision of Aurion Learning’s customisable off-the-shelf CourseKit titles, including Equality & Diversity Essentials, Fire Safety Essentials and Manual Handling Essentials.

All digital learning resources produced under the framework are SCORM compliant for deployment on NICS’s existing learning management system and are compliant with agreed accessibility standards.
